Target Audience

This educational activity is designed for hematologists, oncologists, and other healthcare providers actively involved in the management of patients with myeloproliferative disorders.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
  • Evaluate the efficacy and safety of front-line treatment options for chronic myelogenous leukemia, and explain how to integrate optimal treatments into clinical practice
  • Discuss emerging second-line treatment options for chronic myelogenous leukemia, and assess the impact of results from recent clinical trials on clinical practice
  • Describe current diagnostic criteria and risk-stratification methods for the Philadelphia chromosome–negative myeloproliferative neoplasms and the implementation of these strategies into clinical practice
  • Evaluate recent clinical trial data regarding therapeutic advances in the management of patients with Philadelphia chromosome–negative myeloproliferative neoplasms, and assess the practical implications of these data
