TARGET AUDIENCE

This educational activity is specifically designed for non-US medical oncologists, non-US surgical and radiation oncologists, and other non-US healthcare providers interested and/or involved in the treatment of patients with endocrine-responsive breast cancer.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  • Identify appropriate treatment strategies for patients with endocrine-responsive metastatic breast cancer in the first-line setting based on current guidelines and clinical trial data

  • Discuss the sequencing of hormonal therapies beyond the first-line setting for patients with hormone receptor–positive metastatic breast cancer

  • Evaluate treatment options for male patients with endocrine-responsive breast cancer, particularly after progression on selective estrogen receptor modulator therapy

  • Examine current data regarding the mechanisms of endocrine resistance and the rationale for therapeutic strategies to overcome resistance

  • Assess novel therapeutic approaches for refractory hormone receptor–positive metastatic breast cancer, including new endocrine therapies and combinatorial strategies with targeted agents
