This independent medical education activity features an expert interview with Irene Ghobrial, MD, focusing on important data from a recent publication that reported results of a phase II study investigating the use of single-agent everolimus in patients with relapsed or refractory Waldenström macroglobulinemia (Ghobrial IM, Gertz M, LaPlant B, et al. Dr Ghobrial briefly discusses the rationale for the phase II clinical trial reported in this publication, the observed efficacy and tolerability of everolimus in the relapsed/refractory setting, as well as other novel therapeutics being investigated in patients with relapsed/refractory Waldenström macroglobulinemia.
