ACCREDITATION

This activity will be submitted for ESMO - MORA category 1 accreditation. Upon anticipated approval, it is expected that this activity will be accredited for 10 hours of ESMO - MORA credit for physicians.

MEETING OVERVIEW

This meeting will serve as a valuable forum for the presentation and discussion of newly available data from ongoing clinical trials. Participants will be provided with an update on practice-changing data in a practical and interactive format, fostering discussion and impacting clinical outcomes for patients with gynecologic malignancies.
 
The interactive format of the Congress incorporates typical didactic presentations with a significant number of interactive clinical case discussions. Attendees will have the opportunity to respond to integrated clinical cases and debates through the use of an electronic audience response system.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This congress is intended for gynecologists, oncologists, radiation therapists, surgeons, pathologists, and other practitioners including allied health professionals, involved in the diagnosis and management of gynecologic cancers. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After successfully completing this educational program, participants should be able to:

  • Assess the impact of human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines on the screening and prevention of cervical cancer
  • Develop a practical approach to cervical cancer staging and management of recurrent disease
  • Discuss the role of surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy in endometrial cancer
  • Describe the use of systemic therapies in recurrent endometrial cancer
  • Derive the optimal surgical management of ovarian cancer based on disease stage and clinical presentation
  • Identify emerging therapies for ovarian cancer and discuss their progress in clinical development
  • Formulate optimal management strategies for recurrent ovarian cancer
  • Identify characteristics of uterine sarcomas and discuss the challenges involved in the management of these malignancies
  • Provide evidence based recommendations for the management of gynecologic malignancies during pregnancy
  • Describe current approaches to the management of ovarian germ cell tumors
