Target Audience

This educational activity is designed for medical oncologists, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, surgical oncologists, pathologists, and other healthcare providers as well as patient advocates involved and/or interested in the management of patients with GI NETs.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the clinical characteristics of GI NETs and the most appropriate investigations to stage and plan treatment
  • Assess the current treatment options for carcinoid syndrome management
  • Evaluate the available therapeutic options and identify the optimum sequence of treatments for carcinoid syndrome
