PHYSICIAN LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After successful completion of this continuing medical education activity, participants should be able to:

 

  • Discuss challenging issues in the management of patients with head and neck cancer, metastatic colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and NSCLC
  • Describe strategies for the integration of novel agents in the management of patients with these solid tumors with attention to clinical and molecular determinants, disease stage, comorbidities, tolerability, and other criteria for therapy selection
  • Integrate multimodality treatment strategiesincluding radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and  targeted therapyinto the management of patients with head and neck cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer, when warranted

NURSE LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After successfully completing this educational program, the nurse will be able to:



  • Describe challenging issues in the management of patients with head and neck cancer, metastatic colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer.
  • Describe current treatment options treatment options including using a multidisciplinary approach for the treatment of patients with head & neck cancer, metastatic colon cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.
  • Describe genomic testing in decision making for lung, breast and neck and breast cancer
